The Department of Labor pointed out the Jollibee and its 3 Contractors should regularize employees who it said were found to be performing activities which are directly related to its fast food chain operations.

The Department of Labor regional labor inspectors saw violations including the lack of substantial capital of the contractors. They noted the deployed employees use the principal's equipment and tools in performing the outsourced services. Worse, the DOLE said it found non-compliance by the contractors with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards, due to the lack of trained safety officers and failing to submit OSH reports. The Department of Labor ordered Jollibee Foods Inc. and its contractors to immediately issue appointment letters and payroll reflecting the entitlements of the affected workers as regular employees.

Understanding Mutual Funds

What is Mutual Fund? A mutual fund is a pool of money professionally managed and invested in specific types of securities. The manager of a mutual fund is guided by strict regulations. However, he monitors the value of the investments very closely so that he can maximize the earnings of the fund, while operating within the fund's objective and guidelines. A good investment manager should outperform the usual alternative investments available mostly to big investors.

Advantages of Mutual Funds

Professional Management. The money accumulated in a mutual fund is managed by professionals who decide on behalf of the shareholders on investment strategy. These professionals choose investments that best match the fund's objectives as described in the prospectus. Their investment decisions are based on extensive knowledge and research of market conditions and the financial performance of individual companies and specific securities.

Diversification. Fund managers typically invest in a variety of securities, seeking portfolio diversification. A diversified portfolio helps reduce risk by offsetting losses from some securities with gains in others. The average investor would find it expensive and difficult to construct a portfolio as diversed as that of a mutual fund. Mutual funds provide an economical way for average investors to obtain the same kind of professional money management and diversification of investments that is available to large institutions and wealthy investors.

Liquidity. is the ability to readily convert investments into cash. Other investment products require investors to find a buyer so that he can liquidate his investment. That is not the case with mutual fund shares because the fund itself stands ready to buy back these shares at the prevailing Net Asset Value Per Share. While the law provides that the redemption proceeds must be given within seven (7) banking days from the date of the redemption request, most funds are able to pay the redemption proceeds with 2 to 3 days. Mutual funds are, therefore, considered very liquid investments.

Safety. Mutual funds are highly regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) under the Investment Company Act and its implementing rules and guidelines. They are prohibited from investing in certain investment products and from engaging in certain transactions. They also have to submit regular reports to the SEC and the shareholders as well.

Daily Pricing. Mutual funds must calculate the price of their shares every business day. Investors can sell (redeem) some or all of their shares anytime and receive the current share price, which may be more or less then the original price.

Voting Rights. Mutual fund shareholders are part owners of the fund and are therefore entitled to vote during the funds' annual shareholders' meeting.

Potential Higher Returns. Because a mutual fund is managed as a single portfolio, it is able to take advantage of certain economies of scale. For instances, with its millions or billions under management, it can negotiate for lower stockbrokerage fees or command higher interest rates on fixed-income investments.

Tax Free. Income generated by mutual fund shareholders are exempted from capital gains tax as stipulated in the Comprehensive Tax Reform Program.

Is False Teeth Allowed for Flight Attendants?

Full Complement of Teeth is Good Oral Hygiene for Airline Crew Several airlines are reported to have precise guidelines for the physical appearance of their cabin crew, such as American Airlines which is said to advise that: "Visible hair in nostrils and on ears or underarms must be cut or otherwise removed”.

Good teeth and oral hygiene also make the list of requirements for American Airlines, which says: "Teeth should present a clean, natural appearance. Employees must have a full frontal complement of teeth. Dental retainers must be gum toned or clear. Braces should be clear or silver." Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air says : “Good oral hygiene should be practiced to ensure that the teeth present a clean, natural appearance. Breath sprays and mints are encouraged.”

Hawaiian Airlines is reported to advise that: “Hands and nails should be kept well groomed at all times, with nail length not exceeding an eighth of an inch beyond the finger tip," while United Airlines outlines that finger nails  “may be no longer than ½ inch measured from the fingertip and should be even in length and shape".

United Airlines also takes a strong stance on facial hair on men, saying “ trendy facial hair styles are not permitted (e.g., small patch of hair growing below lower lip)" for men and "mustaches may not extend more than ¼ inch below the sides of the mouth", while Jet Airways is said to require “a clear complexion (scars, pimples and blemishes not acceptable)".

What is their Salary Rate?

There is No Salary For Underwear Models

You are paid by the gig or assignment, not a weekly salary like a 9-5 job would pay you. As a beginner, you likely are very eager just to land your first underwear modeling gig. You'd take any amount of pay, just to be able to tell girls at the bar that you are an underwear model. That is understandable for a beginner. However, you need to take care to discuss the contract for your first modeling gig. For how many months and years will the person hiring you be able to publish your photo? Remember, brands don't want to hire a guy who also models for their competitor. So, let's say you land a low-pay underwear modeling gig. Maybe you earn only $500. If you fail to set a maximum amount of time that someone can publish your photo, they use your photos forever.

A year or two later, let's say you learn more about the business and make great contacts in the industry and finally are in line for a high-paying gig with a brand that is ten times the size of the small company that hired you for your first gig - a year or two ago. But, the first company is still using your photo and as such, you will get declined for the high paying gig! So, don't be desperate and accept $25 per hour for photos that can be used forever. Consider the future ...and your future marketability.

Modeling Job = One-Time Assignment When professionals in modeling use the phrase "modeling job," they are not referring to a job someone would have as a formal employee. In this situation, the word "job" means the same as a freelance, one-time assignment. Yes, there may be situations where you return over and over again to do fit modeling - where they have you try on patterns that designers are working on - or to an online retailer who needs photos for a website each week, but it is highly unlikely you will receive a weekly paycheck like the worker at Walmart receives.

If you will not receive a regular paycheck, you need to be able to budget your money and ask for enough money to cover the many weeks that you will not receive income. Once again, beginner models who are only interested in impressing the girls at their favorite bar usually accept any low payment offered to them - instead of being smart and negotiating wisely. If you will not work for another three months, you need to negotiate enough money to cover that time. You can earn anywhere from $100 per hour or $1,500 per day for catalogs and for advertising agencies $250 per hour or $10,000 per day is average. Range Showing Model

15 Alarming Airline Secrets

A curious Reedit user asked airline professionals for behind-the-scenes details about flying we might not already know. The answers (from flight attendants, pilots, engineers and frequent fliers) revealed a series of secrets you're going to wish you never knew, either because they're so useful, or because they're so utterly revolting.

1. Those Masks Only Give You 15 Minutes of Air. "If the oxygen masks drop down, you only have about 15 minutes of oxygen from the point of pulling them down. However, that is more than enough time for the pilot to take us to a lower altitude where you can breathe normally." @jezalenko "Typically, as soon as the masks come down, the pilot descends to as low an altitude as possible and finds the nearest airport to land," says George Hobica. Generally speaking, getting to an altitude where you can breathe fairly normally takes between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the plane's altitude when it depressurized.

2. You Shouldn't Even TOUCH Plane Water. "Do not EVER drink water on an aircraft that did not come from a bottle. Don't even TOUCH IT. The reason being the ports to purge lavatory sh_t and refill the aircraft with potable water are within feet from each other and sometimes serviced all at once by the same guy."While the exact water refill process probably varies by airline, the Wall Street Journal ran a test of tap water from 14 different flights in 2002 that found bacteria levels "tens, sometimes hundreds of times above U.S. government limits."

3. Flight Attendants Sometimes Withhold your Dinner, Hoping You'll Fall Asleep."On night flights, we sometimes hold off on meal service as long as we can so that you'll be asleep and we'll have less to do." Pilots Get Served Separate Meals in Case One Makes Them Sick."Two pilots are served different meals and cannot share, this is done in case of food poisoning." This is indeed a smart idea and might be true at some airlines, but it's not an industry rule. Says Captain Laura Russo, "meals between pilots are often identical, and there is no stipulation otherwise."

4. You're Breathing Engine Air. "The air you breathe on an airplane is actually compressed air taken from the engines. A large portion (25% to 50%) is blown in the flightdeck, the rest is for the passengers. The air leaves the airplane via a small hole in the back of the fuselage." Well technically, you're breathing air from the engine's compressors, not the engine's exhaust. Boeing's website explains that air from the engine's compressors helps to warm and pressurize air from outside the plane. This treated air is then circulated into the cabin for you to breathe.

5. Dim Lights are Meant to Prepare you for Evacuation, Not Sleep. "When a plane is landing at night, they dim the interior lights in case you need to evacuate upon landing, your eyes are already adjusted to the darkness so you'll be able to see better once outside the plane."

6. Those Blankets Have NOT been Washed. Also, there's a Solid Chance your Tray Table has Poo on it. "I worked for Southwest as a flight attendant. Those blankets and pillows? Yeah, those just get refolded and stuffed back in the bins between flights. Only fresh ones I ever saw were on an originating first flight in the morning in a provisioning city. Also, if you have ever spread your peanuts on your tray and eaten, or really just touched your tray at all, you have more than likely ingested baby poo. I saw more dirty diapers laid out on those trays than food. And those trays, yeah, never saw them cleaned or sanitized once.". This is partly true, says active flight attendant and HuffPost blogger Sara Keagle. Keagle told us that in her airline's coach class, freshly washed blankets are only supplied to the first flights of the day; after that they're just folded and re-used. She also says tray tables are cleaned only "about once a day, usually when the aircraft RONs (remains overnight)."

7. You Can Unlock a Lavatory from The Outside. "You are able to unlock airplane lavatories from the outside. There is usually a lock mechanism concealed behind the no smoking badge on the door. Just lift the flap up and slide the bolt to unlock."

8. You Can be Upgraded to First Class After Takeoff. "Yes, we can upgrade you to business class or first class after the airplane's doors close. No, we don't do it very often, partly because on some airlines we have to file a report explaining why we did it, partly because there has to be a meal for you and partly because the forward cabins are often full. Who do we upgrade? Not the slob who's dressed in a dirty tank top. It helps if you're extremely nice, well dressed, pregnant, very tall, good looking, one of our friends or all of the above."

9. Pilots Fall Asleep While they're Flying. "Between 43 and 54 percent of pilots surveyed in the U.K., Norway, and Sweden admitted to having fallen asleep while flying a passenger plane." Seasoned flight attendant Tracy Christoph says that on longer flights, pilots are assigned to take rest periods while their co-pilot mans the controls. However, about half of pilots in this recent survey said they had indeed fallen asleep "involuntarily" during a flight.

10. The Captain is Allowed to Arrest you Mid-flight. The captain has almost limitless authority when the doors are closed. He is allowed to arrest people, write fines and even take the will of a dying passenger." . We spoke with several flight attendants, each of whom stated that while this isn't true, the captain has the ultimate authority on a plane, though he can't actually perform an arrest. Airline expert Chris Lopinto explains that in an emergency, the pilot may call authorities to meet the plane once it lands, and they'll arrest any unruly passengers who are on board. "The captain...can put you in restraints for the authorities to pick up on the ground if there is a problem, but the captain can't 'arrest' you in the legal sense of the word," he says.

11. There are Hold-on Handles in Case Flight Attendants get Shoved Off the Plane. "Next time you get on a plane, take note of the handles by the door, just inside the plane. What on earth are those for? Correct, they're grab handles, but why? Well, in a panicked emergency evacuation, when the flight attendants are manning the exit door, passengers, in their mad rush to get off, have a tendency to push them out of the way, sometimes all the way down the slide. The handles are there to make sure that the flight attendants stay on the plane if that's what they need to do."

12. People Steal the Life Jackets. "People take those life jackets, located under or between your seat, as souvenirs. It's a vile and punishable offense, and while airlines do check each seat at the start of every day, a plane could make several trips in a day, during any one of which a passenger could steal a life vest. So, I learned, it's a good idea to check if the life jacket is indeed there."

13. You Can Ask for The Whole Can of Coke. "If you've got a thirst that's going to take more than a few tablespoons of soda to quench, consider politely asking your flight attendant for the whole can. Most of the time, they're happy to oblige."

14. Your Flight Attendants Probably aren't Following Cell Phone Rules. "My sister is a flight attendant, she says after she tells everyone to turn off all electronics, she goes to the back and pulls our her phone and starts texting." - @dora_de_destroya

15. The Cabin Crew Doesn't Get Paid Until You Take Off. "Our airline used to pay us when we showed up for duty at the airport. That was eons ago... Now we get paid only when the wheels leave the ground. We don't even get paid when we're taxiing! There can sometimes be hours of delay between the time we show up for work and when we're airborne. Different airlines have different policies, but it's a way for them to save money." -Anonymous flight attendant. Airlines may have differing policies on pay: some may pay once the cabin door is closed, and some may not pay until the plane has left the ground. Captain Laura Russo told us that at her airline, United, the crew is paid once the plane "departs the gate"- meaning that if takeoff is significantly delayed after the passengers board, flight attendants are paid for that time.

What Is The Proper Way To Tuck In A Shirt?

When it’s time to tuck in your shirt, do it the right way. A good tuck should make the front of your body smooth and flat.

If your waist tapers below your rib cage, that should be visible. There should be no wrinkling and no “muffin-topping” where the shirt blouses out over the trouser waist and makes a ring around your midsection. You should also have a clean “gig line” a military term for the imaginary line straight down the front of your body, from the point of your chin to your crotch. A well-tucked shirt should sit so that the shirt placket (the rectangle of fabric where the front buttons are located) lines up precisely with the fly of your trousers. The belt buckle and trouser button should be centered neatly in that same line.

A clean gig line divides your body cleanly, emphasizing evenness of proportion. It also tells people that you pay attention to detail or it might be more accurate to say that a sloppy gig line tells people you don’t. Either way, you want it crisp and vertical.

Finally, keep in mind that a good shirt fit in the first place will always make tucking the shirt in easier. The less excess fabric you’re dealing with around the waist, the less your tuck has to secure. A well-fitted shirt is also sure to be long enough for an effective tuck, while a short shirt will always be in danger of escaping no matter how well you tuck it.

The Basic Trouser Tuck

This is where most men start and finish their shirt-tucking education shirttails inside the trousers but above the underpants, shoved straight down all the way around the waist. It’s the no-thought way to do it, and it’s the most common as a result.

Here’s the easiest way to do this one, and you’ve probably done it a million times unless your father taught you a different method from a young age: put your underwear on, then put your shirt on and button it up, and then finally pull your pants on, buttoning them closed over the shirttails.

Your shirt ends up pinned beneath your trousers with no effort on your part. It just got there by virtue of the order you did things. And as long as your trousers aren’t too loose, the shirt will probably stay there. Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean this is a bad tuck.
If you don’t want to think too hard, this is the way to go. But be cautioned: it works well with a fitted shirt, and terribly with anything else. If your shirt doesn’t have a close, well-tailored fit, you need a little more technique to deal with the excess fabric.

The Military Tuck

This is how the armed forces are taught to tuck in their uniform shirts. It creates a pair of folded pleats, which are then pinned flat by the trouser waist for a crisp, stiff tuck.

Different services in different countries have variations on this, but the basic principle is the same: you stand straight in your shirt, and if there’s any loose fabric hanging on either side of you, you fold it into a sharp, diagonal crease, sort of like making the nose on a paper airplane. Then you tuck the creases in at the hips, belting your trousers on above them.

Below are the step-by-step instructions. Don’t be discouraged if this one takes you a few tries to get right! It really starts to shine once you’ve practiced it enough for the movements to become routine.

  1. Have your pants on, but unbuttoned. You’ll need to close them up quickly over the shirt once you’re done with your folding.
  2. Pinch each of the shirt’s side seams between a thumb and forefinger. Pull down to tug all the fabric taut.
  3. Fold the seams backward toward your rear end, creating a pleat that folds over any loose fabric in the sides. Use enough pressure to pull the shirtfront smooth and taut across the front of your chest.
  4. Button your pants up and belt them to hold the pleats flat against your body. Depending on how much excess fabric the shirt had, the folds should sit somewhere behind your hips, underneath the back of your armpits.

The military tuck can take practice getting the folds straight and flat, and it works best in stiff, smooth fabrics that can hold the crease well. Use it any time you’ve got excess fabric around the waist and sides of the shirt.

The Underwear Tuck

No, I’m not talking about tucking your dress shirt into your underwear.

Although this method is effective, it can backfire when your puppy dog boxers creep up past your waistline.

No, the underwear tuck refers to the need to properly tuck your undershirt into your underwear in order to ensure the dress shirt is between your underwear and trousers (vs. your undershirt and dress shirt sitting between your underwear and trousers).

Believe it or not this small difference has a large impact on how your shirt stays tucked in throughout the day.

Your ideal tuck, if you’re an undershirt wearer, should go in this order, from the body outward: undershirt, waistband of your underwear, regular shirt, waistband of the trousers, and finally your belt.

Oh, and if this doesn’t work well enough, you should look into purchasing a pair of underwear with grip technology that is designed to hold your dress shirt in place. My friend Mike over at RibbedTee just designed the Stuck Boxer Briefs, and makes them right here in the USA!

Shirt Stays — The Ultimate Shirt Tuck

A method with some extra help: small garters tug the bottom of the shirt taut beneath the trousers.

The phrase “shirt stays” is sometimes used to refer to collar stays (the flat tabs inside the points of some dress shirt collars), but it also refers to a specialized sort of garter. These are used by several militaries around the world, and are also popular among sharp dressers.

Basically, the stays are just a pair of small, elasticized garters with clips at the ends. You put your shirt on first and button it up, clipping one end of the garters to the tips of your shirttails (the stays come in sets of two, one for each shirttail/trouser leg). Then you put your socks on, and attach the lower clips to them, adjusting the buckles until the shirt is held straight but not taut.

Then you put your trousers on and get used to the feeling of elastic bands running vertically up your legs. It takes a few minutes to get used to, but I personally don’t notice it and rather enjoy the compliments a tidy look brings!

Recently there’s been a wave of alternative products that serve the same basic function with different mechanisms. There are high-friction belts worn under the trousers to cinch a shirt into place, underpants with clips that grip the hem of the shirt directly, and even little magnetized catches worn under the trousers to hold the shirt in place.

If you’re willing to add another item to your morning dressing routine, these can work well. Find the one you like and stick with it!

OFW's are at Risk Dropping Sperm Counts

We all know that OFW's are tech dependent. In a survey made by NGO, OFW's  are expose to gadgets up to 99% of their time, not to mention with high radiation materials like microwaves, copy machines, monitors and most of all mobile phones.

To survive homesickness Others continuously wearing Bluetooth headsets to listen music, use for video and online calls or watching movies for their personal entertainment while their mobile is in their pocket or near its private area.

So how do technology damage your sperm cells? Smoking, and regular alcohol intake are known to reduce sperm count. But did you know that placing your mobile phone inside your pockets and using your laptop for hours gives you less chances of becoming a father? Mobile phones and laptops release radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation that damages the development and function of sperm cells.

According to studies, the heat emitting from RF-EMR has the ability to raise the scrotum temperature by 2.1 degrees celsius and is equivalent to at least 80% sperm reduction for every four-hour exposure to RF-EMR carrier devices. Researchers explained that men who usually keep their phones in their front pockets are more likely to suffer from sperm infertility. Same thing goes when using a laptop, the heat it generates alone can cause lower sperm count and becomes even more dangerous when connected to a Wifi network. Yes, the simple acts of browsing the web (like what you are doing now) and placing a laptop on your thighs cause sperm degeneration.

Avoiding excessive use of gadgets could be difficult since it is a necessity for personal or professional functions, but that doesn’t mean you can not minimize your vulnerability. Stop putting mobile phones in your front pockets for an hour or place it away. Do the same with your laptop. If Internet connection isn’t necessary, turn off the WiFi while you work on things. Extensive exposure to such gadgets results in lesser probability of fertility or reproduction.

Calculate the hours you spend everyday with the devices, because you might be facing serious reproductive health issues.

In his speech, Duterte said a smart leader like Gokongwei is needed to move the country forward. "You need about 10 to 15 years to build really a country, to realize it. But only kung may mga utak ka pareho kay Lance," he said.

Duterte wanted Gokongwei to become Finance Secretary but the tycoon declined. They understand the whole gamut of how men are gainfully employed and how to run a business little by little," he said. In jest, Duterte joked that he had to ad lib during the event because Gokongwei is worth more than two pages of prepared speech.

"Alam mo, kaibigan ko si Lance. I value his friendship. Kaya kung ito lang dalawang pages o. Mai-insulto 'yung tao. 'We waited for you for several hours,'" he said. Duterte credited the Gokongweis for growing Cebu Pacific into a small airline into a powerhouse player in the aviation industry. "Question of management 'yan eh - and of course, talent and enterprise, which the family Gokongwei has," he said.

What Your Seat on a Plane Says About You

Window seat fans. Some are born, some become them, some have fandom thrust upon them. And, some psychologists say, there might be a reason for that. People who select window seats are "selfish" and "controlling", and those who prefer aisle seats are more likely to be introverts. More fool you for thinking it was all about legroom.

The psychology of plane seats has been doing the rounds for several years, but, interestingly, experts or, at least, those happy to talk about it  always seem to draw the same conclusions. There might be a reason for that, the seat you choose, psychologist Jonathan Bricker has said in the past, is "a rare opportunity to have some control over your environment when travelling." So what exactly does it mean? Bricker calls the act of choosing an aisle seat "an expression of freedom" you don't have to ask permission to get up, check the overhead locker or go to the toilet, and suggests it's the pick of introverts, who don't want to have to engage with their fellow passengers or feel boxed in. Having said that, it's also the power seat in the row, you get to control whether your seat mates can move around. And the sheer physicality's of the seat mean you're less likely to sleep on the aisle, means that people who need to work are more likely to take it. Aisle = introverted control freak, in other words.

Window seats, he continues, are "nesters" who like to seal themselves off from the rest of the cabin. Harley Street psychologist Becky Spelman goes one further, telling the Telegraph that the "nesting" tendency equates to wanting to "exist in their own bubble", and adding that window seat fans "like to be in control, tend to take an 'every man for themselves' attitude towards life, and are often more easily irritable." Behavioral psychologist Jo Hemmings adds that window seat fans are usually "more selfish". Although not everyone buys this, one psychologist interviewed declined to comment, saying, "It's not something I've ever even thought about." So is there any truth to this idea? "It's true that everyone has a preference," Jack Sheldon of Jack's Flight Club told , adding that although he was skeptical of the sweeping character assassinations, "I'm sure there is some truth to it, and if someone did a study on it, they'd find something not too far from what we'd assume." But a member of cabin crew for a major European airline, and perhaps the ultimate expert on passenger behavior mentions that the idea of seat personalities doesn't ring true.

"I would honestly say, I have never in my 20 years of being a trolley dolly noticed this," she said. "I have served many people in the window or aisle seat and they have been extrovert, shy, demanding, quiet, unassuming and so on. I have never been able to pinpoint a certain type of passenger."

There's no word on the psychological tendencies of those who prefer the middle seat. Possibly because they don't exist - or perhaps, as Sheldon says, they're "usually a sign of poor planning and a disorganized person." Ouch.

The Invisible Creme

Dumb Robbers Caught Nude When “Invisibility Cream” Fails!

ATHENS, Greece a gang of dimwitted thieves conceived the perfect crime when they coated themselves with an invisibility cream sold to them by an elderly Chinese herbalist, then waltzed into a jewelry store naked, certain that they couldn’t be seen.

But the brazen daylight heist turned into a humiliating fiasco because the magic cream was bogus! The five crooks who had doffed their duds so their clothes wouldn’t be seen were busted by police less than 30 seconds after they exited the store in the historic The Plaka district. “The gang leader Aristotle Panagakos has a reputation in this city as something of a criminal mastermind,” said police spokesman Sgt. Demitri Stathopolos. “The failure of this particular caper exposed his shortcomings.”

The three men and two women have been charged with robbery. Panagakos, interviewed in jail, told a reporter that all seemed well when he and his four cohorts entered the Megalos Jewelry Store off Adrianou Street. The sales people did not react to us and we were certain we were invisible to them, he recalled. Only when we walked out and I saw policewomen gawking at my privates and giggling, did I realize that something had gone awry.

Cops from a special police task force, who’d been tipped that a robbery might be going down at one of the many jewelry stores in The Plaka, had instructed employees in the area to remain calm and press a silent alarm if they saw any sign of trouble.

“It was a little difficult keeping a straight face when those people came in, naked as the day they were born, and started poking about in the displays,” explained store manager Callidora Deiphobus. “But I did as the authorities instructed us and triggered the alarm. By the time the thieves left with armfuls of diamond necklaces and gold rings, the police were outside.”

Superstition is common among Greek criminals, who often purchase amulets to ward off police from Gypsies, experts say. According to a statement given to the police by ring leader Panagakos, the robbers bought the “invisibility cream” from a Chinese herbalist named Chin Ho who purportedly sold magic potions.“His nephew, a cat burglar I met at a bar, assured me that he had used the cream successfully many times,” Panagokos told cops. “I paid him a handsome sum, 7,700 Euros (about $10,00 U.S.). Now, of course, I realize the whole thing was a rip-off.”

BUNS-BARING BANDIT: Phoena Zervas, one of the alleged “invisible” jewel thieves, was angered to learn her gang had been duped. 24-year-old Phoena Zervas, the youngest member of the ring, was quickly covered in a coat by arresting officers a few yards from the store. She is furious at Chin Ho, whom she now regards as an “a liar and an evil charlatan. The morning of the robbery, the little old China man came to our hideout with jars of the magic cream, the bosomy brunette said in a jailhouse interview with a Greek TV station. Chin Ho, if that’s his real name explained that people wearing the cream could see each other, but no one else could.

He offered to apply the cream to my body so that I wouldn’t miss a spot. I took him up on the polite offer because he assured me that because he wasn’t wearing the cream he couldn’t see me nude. Now I know that not only could he see every inch of me, I let that old pervert rub his slimy hands over me from head to toe. I feel like a fool. The crafty con artist remains at large.

He is doubtless pulling his scam on other gullible criminals,” said Sgt. Stathopolos. “We’re not optimistic about finding him. And even if we do, we’re not sure what crime we could charge him with. All he did was sell some idiots goo that we have discovered to be 90 percent petroleum jelly.

UNLIKE the dimwitted jewel thieves in this weird crime story, Fantastic Four superhero Susan Storm (Jessica Alba) really can turn invisible.

Tips for Safe Internet Job Search

The Compiled Tips for Safe Internet Job Search

Find the Company's Website: One of the first things to do when you find a job listing online is to verify if the company has a legitimate website. Dubious companies will most likely not have a website. Once you find a company's website, check the profile, about us, and contact information page. You should especially double check if there is a listed company address. A company that doesn't have this on its website is usually a tell-tale sign that it is a sham.

Examine a Website's Content: They say that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. However, in this case, the better the company website looks, the higher the chances are that it isn't a scam site. Check the links and content partners of the website, if any. "A legitimate company would not mind spending a large amount of money to have a website designed beautifully as the same serves as the business's window to the world," the POEA said.

Be Wary of Hard Copies: Companies operating on the Internet would like to operate consistently through online means.A company asking you to send resumes and application papers through snail mail should raise a red flag.

Be Skeptical of Job Offers: If the company offers a luxurious salary with other perks and benefits, be extra careful in dealing with that job. Usually, if an offer is too good to be true, it probably is a scam, trying to lure you to shell out your hard earned cash in exchange for nothing.

Counter check: The POEA also advises you to use search engines to check the website of the company that you are looking to get a job in. Doing web searches will allow you to check if there are other websites carrying the company's name. If those similar sites carry the same offers, you should be alarmed and consider your next moves carefully.

Web searches also let you see if there are existing complaints against the company from others who have already been scammed.

Lesson to Learn from Nokia

During the press conference to announce NOKIA being acquired by Microsoft in 2013, Nokia CEO ended his speech saying this "we didn't do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost". Upon saying that, all his management team, himself included, teared sadly. Nokia has been a respectable company. They didn't do anything wrong in their business, however, the world changed too fast. Their opponents were too powerful.

They missed out on learning, they missed out on changing, and thus they lost the opportunity at hand to make it big. Not only did they miss the opportunity to earn big money, they lost their chance of survival.

The message of this story is, if you don't change, you shall be removed from the competition.
It's not wrong if you don't want to learn new things. However, if your thoughts and mindset cannot catch up with time, you will be eliminated.

Conclusion:
  1. The advantage you have yesterday, will be replaced by the trends of tomorrow. You don't have to do anything wrong, as long as your competitors catch the wave and do it RIGHT, you can lose out and fail.
  2. To change and improve yourself is giving yourself a second chance. To be forced by others to change, is like being discarded.
  3. Those who refuse to learn & improve, will definitely one day become redundant & not relevant to the industry. They will learn the lesson in a hard & expensive way.
Maybe this lesson may apply to your life and career,  ... it is not what you have done, it's what you failed to do...

How to Write The Perfect Resignation Letter

Most people in their lives come to a point in their careers where they will want to resign from their current company. The reasons might be extremely varied, but the intentions are the same. However, this occurrence happens so rarely in one’s career that when you do reach that point, you’re stumped as to what you should do next.

One of the most essential, yet often overlooked, steps in the resignation process is the resignation letter. An expertly-handled resignation means that you’ll leave the company on good terms and leaves the door open in the event that you do choose to return as an employee.

While you’re contemplating the best time to tell your boss that you’re resigning, here are 7 guidelines to keep in mind while you’re penning your resignation letter.
  1. Resignation letters should ideally only be a page in length.
  2. Submit a printed hard copy of your resignation letter instead of emailing it. Besides being more professional, it gives you and your soon-to-be ex-company physical evidence in case of any possible disputes that might arise.
  3. Do not include any derogatory or negative comments in the resignation letter. Even if you’re dying to tell your boss what a self-righteous prick he or she is, explicitly writing it in the resignation letter will not only make you look unprofessional, it might even land you into legal trouble.
  4. The resignation letter should include a brief explanation of why you are leaving the company. However, keep in mind the previous guideline, especially if the main reason why you’re quitting is because your boss is a self-righteous prick.
  5. It is good etiquette in the letter to thank your employer and boss for the opportunities that you’ve been given in the company.
  6. Do take note that most companies require you to serve notice ranging from a few weeks to even two months. This is important in the event that you already have a new job offer lined up. Communicate with your new employers the amount of notice you need to give and include the exact date of when you are resigning from your current company in your resignation letter. Remember to fulfill your mandatory notice period and ensure that it does not clash with the start date of your next job.
  7. If you would like a testimonial from your boss, it is best to ask from it in person rather than requesting for it in the resignation letter. However, keep in mind that your boss is not obligated to give you one, so don’t hound him or her.
