Calamansi is called in many names in English and internationally its most popular name in English is Golden Lime. If you are in the Philippines and you are a lemon lover, you can use Calamansi as a replacement especially if you are travelling in far provinces of the Philippines, you cannot find lemon fruit or lemon juices.
Calamsi is commonly known for its sweet and lemon like taste and it is good to refresh throat to cure cough and colds. Filipino Overseas Workers usually go back to their provinces during vacation and collects Calamansi from its backyard plantation, i guess you cannot find calamansi in any other country but only in the Philippines.
If you are in Manila, this can be found in any market or supermarket in the Malls, however it is now too expensive because it was harvested in the provinces area and delivered in Manila. In the provinces it is free and you can make calamansi juice in any time you want.

La Paz Batchoy
The original La Paz batchoy is the most tasty batchoy in the Philippines, it is a mix of ilonggo made noodle with pork liver, meat, pork fats, chicharon or pork crackers, onion, pepper, salt and the heart of its taste is the beef bone soup.
As years pass by, there are so many version of this type of soup which is called "Batchoy", even in some Malls in Manila you can order this noodle soup. But if you want to taste the real Batchoy you need to visit Ilo-ilo where it is originally made in the town of La Paz. Previously i visited the province and again try to eat Batchoy, however i have observe that servings are already different than before, it is much smaller or content are smaller, i wish to had it as before. In near province riding in a fast craft ferry i visited Bacolod City, and i had a chance to taste their Batchoy, most likely taste are similar but some added ingredients are made, i have tried both to eat in a restaurant and near streets, i guess street food Batchoy i prefer, i feel that their ingredients are more natural as i can see the soup is taken from the boiling huge cooker seeing the big bones of beef, i ask the chef about it and he mentioned that it is just water with salt and beef bone.

Fresh Fish in the Philippines
The most interesting part to come back home to Philippines or visit provinces is the fresh sea dishes. Even in Manila area, I can say the Macapagal Road (Near MOA-Mall of Asia) has this night and day market fresh Fish and cheaper than the normal market. From that area you can shop and go to the restaurant bringin the sea foods you bought and let them cook it for you. Everytime I visit Manila for a stop over, I bring my friends to this area, it is cheaper comparing to a restaurant buffet, more relaxing and liquors are also available (I guess liquors or beers are expensive in this area, instead of getting big profits from their menu and services).
Fresh fish are more during night time and afternoon (lunch time) it is because fish dealers are dropping their catches night and morning, so this is the best time to shop or eat in the fish markets. The most important in the areas are police visibilities (safe for all), parking, and airconditioned function area., most of this market they have videoke and live bands, but some customers usually lunch times need the airconditioned area.

OEC Validation in Terminal 3 NAIA
